The contractor, Fontaine Bros, Inc., signed the construction contract and is expected to mobilize in mid-June.
The Building Department issued a permit for the demolition portion of the project with an application for the full building permit to follow.
The bid protest by a Town resident was denied without a hearing by the Attorney General’s office.
The Town requested payments from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the payments are in process.
We have begun the other steps to initiate this project including procuring a temporary location and a moving company, and re-engaging the architect and owner’s project manager.
